Pedisafe Nail Reconstruction and Nail Bracing (Coming Soon)

Pedisafe Nail Reconstruction and Nail Bracing (Coming Soon)

Toenail reconstruction is a specialised treatment for nails that have been damaged, thickened, fungal or even missing completely. Belinda uses a product called PediSafe which is a two-part system that uses a rubber base layer to prevent any damage to the existing nail and a strong resin as a top layer.  The procedure is carried out by Belinda and can be used in conjunction with other treatments if treating fungal infections within the nails.  The reconstructed toenail will look and feel like a natural nail. It can be cut, filed, and left to look natural or a gel/polish can be applied on top.

Please note: DO NOT  SHOWER/ BATH YOUR FEET THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT. Excess moisture under the nail plate may result in reconstruction not being applied at the appointment.

Nail Bracing – The principle of using Pedisafe is to bring involuted or ingrown nails back into a natural shape through normal growth without any tension or pain, following more or less proximal application of the Pedisafe correction brace to the nail. Belinda first prepares the nail prior to application. The Pedisafe is then spread on the nail and shaped correctly. After the Pedisafe has hardened, the nail correction starts to guide the nail into its natural shape.

Fungal Nail Treatments (coming Soon)

Fungal Nail Treatments (coming Soon)

At your fungal nail treatment consultation, Belinda will first perform an in-house test to ensure that it is a fungal nail infection that is the cause of the problem. While performing the test on the toenail clippings, Belinda will tidy the nail and surrounding skin. If we attain a positive result, Belinda will discuss with you the best treatment method depending on the severity of the fungal nail infection. Belinda will also spray your footwear with an anti-fungal treatment to prevent some of the fungal burdens in your footwear.

Fungal Nail Treatment Options

Belinda offers a range of fungal nail treatment options depending on the severity of the infection, these include:

  • Topical Treatments
  • The Lacuna Method
  • Toenail Reconstructioin
  • Referral for Toenail Surgery to a trusted Podiatrist
  • Referral For Prescribed Oral Fungal Medication

Find out more about Belinda’s Fungal Nail treatment options below:

The Lacuna Method

The Lacuna method is a very effective method of treatment. This involves drilling tiny pin-sized holes into the infected nail plate. This allows the topical fungal treatment to enter the nail bed where the fungal infection is present and actively destroy it.

Topical Treatments

Depending on the severity of the fungal nail infection, a topical treatment could be the best option. The topical treatment will be repeatedly applied to the infected nail, and a fungal spray will be used on the footwear to remove any trace of the infection from your shoes.

Pedisafe Nail Reconstruction

Pedisafe is a specialised treatment to be used while treating damaged, thickened or fungal nails. The reconstructed nail will look and feel just like the natural nail and will give the nail a healthy appearance while you are treating the fungal nail using other methods. It can also be cut, filed and painted or left to look natural.

Verruca Treatment

Verruca Treatment

Belinda is pleased to offer this pain free, simple and affordable Verruca Treatment

Quick Application – Affordable

HOW EFFECTIVE IS VERRUTOP?

As with all treatment for a verruca, there is no guarantee of success. Verrutop is shown to have a higher than 70% success rate. However, anecdotally, it seems to be more successful than other treatment methods. This is likely due in part to ease of use and the simplicity of the treatment as more patients adhere to the ongoing management

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL IT TAKE?

The average number of treatments required is 3. As with any treatment, this will vary. Many require only 1 or 2 treatments but for a large, stubborn verruca, as many as 6 treatments may be required. It is important to note, however, that there is a small percentage of people for whom it will have no effect.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY APPOINTMENT?

Before any Verructop treatments take place, Belinda will dicuss with you the treatment process to ensure you are happy with how it will all take place.

HOW MANY VERRUCAE CAN BE TREATED WITH ONE AMPOULE?

The size of the verruca will determine how many verrucae can be treated with a single ampoule. However, for average sized verrucae, approximately 3 can be treated

COST

Initial Verruca Assessment with First Verrutop Treatment – £75 (if this is your first ever appointment with Belinda)

Follow up Verrutop Treatment (for all existing Foot Health Patients) – price to include 1 ampule, treating as many verrucae as possible (usually 3 verrucae maximum) – £60

Additional Ampoule – £20 per ampoule
